Minisode 78: Flayme Minion
Monday Nov 11, 2019
Monday Nov 11, 2019
This episode is recording a little earlier than usual, so is a little trimmer than you might be used to. It might also feature cute baby gurglings. So here it is... MINISODE 78!
Topics include Citadel and Sinister 2 director Ciaran Foy's latest offering, Netflix Original Eli and Mitch recaps a little more of what he caught at Celluloid Screams. In addition to this, Mitch continues to chip away, interminably, at the ShockWaves 100 and we have another instalment of MITCH'S PITCHES!
Due to his well documented ignorance towards films, Mitch is shown a film poster with all titles, taglines etc removed and tasked with attempting to decipher the plot. Will it go well? The poster image can be seen below...
In addition to all this, we dig into your posts and messages in the Feedback section and tell you what you should be watching as we look at what's arriving on streaming platforms this week!

Friday Nov 08, 2019
Another live show bites the dust and we are back to our regularly scheduled programming with this, Episode 78! This week, we are delighted to be joined by the producer of Cronus and the 2016 Frightfest sleeper hit Knucklebones... It's Laura McQuay!
Her chosen film? Truth or Dare: A Critical Madness!
This is a first watch for both Andy and Mitch and it's a fucking revelation. Elijah Wood proudly declares it to be the first horror film he ever saw and the one that set him on his current career trajectory and it also features an appearance from a young AJ McLean from The Backstreet Boys. It's superb. Don't miss this one.
The synopsis is as follows:
Mike Strauber catches his wife Sharon in bed with his best friend Jerry. He gets mad and takes off to embark on an adventure of murder and self-mutilation in demented games of truth or dare.
Please note that this episode contains strong language, conversations of an adult nature and EXTREMELY Scottish accents.

Please note: This episode of Strong Language & Violent Scenes Podcast was recorded live at Celluloid Screams Horror Film Festival on October 25th, 2019. Check out our social media for some of the slides.
That said, please enjoy Episode 77: In Defence of... The Wicker Man!
Episode 77 sees the boys live and this time... its just family! YES! The ball is firmly in Andy's court a he goes with a surprising and controversial choice in Neil LaBute's 22006 remake of The Wicker Man!

75: Feast (w/ David Malcolm)
Friday Oct 18, 2019
Friday Oct 18, 2019
We can assure that this Episode, Episode 75, will arrive on time and to that end, we are joined by the director of Frightfest 2018 short film selection, Mannequins (also produced by Andy)... It's David Malcolm!
His chosen film? Feast!
A good while before he failed to set the world alight with Piranha 3DD, director John Gulager had a pretty good stab at a fun, gross, action-packed horror comedy with Feast! Boasting a cast that incudes Henry Rollins and Jason Mewes, Feast is a trashy and fun film that you MIGHT just enjoy! Let us know...
The synopsis is as follows:
Trapped in a remote tavern, a group of strangers must band together for survival.
Outside the bar, a horde of ravenous, flesh-eating monsters are trying to break in and dine on the frightened humans inside.
Please note that this episode contains strong language, conversations of an adult nature and EXTREMELY Scottish accents.

In this one, Chucky himself, Brad Dourif, plays the unhinged tech man behind a weird rampaging dinosaur-esque killing machine. It all gets very silly from there but its great fun. Let us know your thoughts!
