What a week it's been. Riots at the US Capitol, Trump impeached for a second time, COVID rampaging unchecked across the globe and NOW we are here to ruin your childhoods and a beloved children's favourite (which is actually pure nightmare fuel). It's EPISODE 133
This week, we are absolutely delighted to be joined by the writer and star of DOUBLE DATE...
It's DANNY MORGAN!
The film? Return To Oz!
Hailing from the hazy, crazy halcyon days of 1985, Disney and director Walter Murch got together and made a sequel (of sorts) to 1939's classic THE WIZARD OF OZ and, on the surface at least, this should've been a gimme. A technicolor wonderland filed with fun, vibrant characters, lighthearted musical numbers and musings on the nature of courage, love, intelligence and friendship.
Instead, what we got is a nihilistic, bleak view of a war-ravaged Oz, filled with nightmarish imagery and scenes to haunt your dreams.
As you can imagine, it didn't do great...
The synopsis is as follows:
Discovering that the magical land is now under the control of an evil empire, she sets off to rescue the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion with the help of her new friends.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Well folks, we made it. 2020 is in our rearview, and it's time to look to the future and hope against hope that we've got some brighter days ahead in 2021.
HOWEVER! Some things never change, and we're back with our first minisode of the year! Topics include Mitch exorcising the demons of a long-held childhood fear and checking out DEATH BECOMES HER, while both he and Andy take a look at Netflix original new release SPREE. Elsewhere, nature continues to go wild as Andy heads to the Arrow Video Channel on Amazon to take a long look at STING OF DEATH!

Well, we did hint that we weren't quite done with 2020, so ahead of tomorrow night's Zoom free-for-all watchalong, we return to the microphones one last time to look back on a tumultuous twelve months - it's end of year list time!
In Bonusode 15, we each select our top five episodes and films of the year, as well as shooting through some honourable mentions and giving some shout outs to friends, colleagues and companies who have worked incredibly hard to bring us so much amazing horror content this year.
We'd like to thank everyone who has taken the time out to listen to, support or appear on the show in 2020, and while we can't mention everyone individually, your kindness, time and generosity has been so appreciated, and has allowed us to grow in a way that we weren't sure would be possible this year.
