35: Sushi Girl (w/ Jay Kay)
Friday Jan 11, 2019
Friday Jan 11, 2019
Welcome back for our first FULL episode of 2019! We trust that you are suitably over the festivities and that regular service can now resume? Good! It's Episode 35 and we are delighted to be joined by Dread Central/Horrorhound journalist/host of the awesome Horror Happens Radio Show (which holds Andy among its esteemed alumni), it's Jay Kay!
His chosen film? Sushi Girl!
Surely fitting the remit for the show by being painfully overlooked and underseen, Kern Saxton's Sushi Girl is a crime thriller, firmly in the vein of Tarantino which features a mind-bogglingly impressive cast that features Tony Todd, Mark Hamill, Noah Hathaway, Cortney Palm, Danny Trejo, Michael Biehn and Jeff Fahey!
The synopsis is as follows:
Fish has just served out his prison sentence for his part in the heist, after refusing to give up information on his accomplices or the whereabouts of the missing diamonds. After release, mob boss Duke invites him along with the rest of the gang, including Crow, to a dinner of sushi served on a the naked body of a seemingly catatonic woman, by chef Sonny Chiba. But Duke still wants to know where his diamonds are, and when Fish doesn’t have them, the party turns sinister.
Fish soon finds himself tied up and systematically tortured, as the gang try to work out who is telling the truth, and more importantly, who has the diamonds.

34: The Christmas One 2018: Christmas Evil (Andy vs Mitch)
Friday Dec 21, 2018
Friday Dec 21, 2018
Ho Ho Ho! Good morning and welcome to EPISODE 34, our last episode of 2018! Massive thanks to all listeners and guests who have made our first 8 months much better than we could've hoped. We will return with a Minisode at 8am on Monday, 7th January, with our first full Episode coming at 8am on Friday, 11th January.
So, we end the year as we began, with an Andy v Mitch episode and a film chosen by Andy!
His chosen film? Christmas Evil!
Coming four years before Silent Night, Deadly Night caused a moral outrage for doing, pretty much the same thing, but in a more grisly way, Christmas Evil (a.k.a. You Better Watch Out) is an interesting little character study that follows one man's descent into madness. Think Falling Down in a Santa suit.
Christmas Evil is currently available on Shudder. You might enjoy it!
The synopsis is as follows:
A toy-maker who revels in the Christmas spirit suffers a mental break when his work is met with hypocrisy and cynicism and goes on a yuletide killing spree.

33: Poltergeist III (w/ Graham Reznick)
Friday Dec 14, 2018
Friday Dec 14, 2018
Episode 33 sees Andy and Mitch joined by a man whose work as a sound designer includes such films as House of The Devil, The Innkeepers, Clown and Stake Land. The man who co-wrote the Guinness award-winning horror video game, Until Dawn and the man behind Shudder Original series, Deadwax, it's Graham Reznick!
His chosen film? Poltergeist 3!
A film that struggles to match its lofty ambitions, Poltergeist III certainly merits that coveted "much maligned" status but is that something that can be easily looked beyond to the treasure beneath?
Coming two years after the second instalment in the franchise and missing some key players, Poltergeist III takes the characters of Carol Anne Freeling and Tangina Barrons and thrusts them into yet another battle with Rev. Henry Kane and the denizens of the other side.
The final film for Heather O'Rourke before her (far too early) death, Poltergeist III stands an oddity in a peculiar franchise and a difficult one to get on board with. What are YOUR thoughts?
The synopsis is as follows:
Psychically attuned youngster Carol-Anne Freeling is sent to live in Chicago with her Uncle Bruce and Aunt Pat. But that doesn't mean that she's escaped the apparitions that have haunted her in the past. When she starts experiencing terrifying visions, her school psychologist believes that they're figments of her imagination. But this becomes hard to believe when ghostly foes start inhabiting the mirrors in her relatives' high-rise apartment.

32: Masters Of The Universe (w/ Tristan Risk)
Friday Dec 07, 2018
Friday Dec 07, 2018
Episode 32 sees Andy and Mitch face their greatest battle yet. The challenger? You may know her from such films as Astron 6's The Editor and Jen & Sylvia Soska's American Mary, it's Tristan Risk!
Her chosen film? Masters of The Universe!
A difficult film for Andy and one that he considers his first cinematic disappointment, Masters of the Universe, based on the line of figures by Mattel and (loosely) on the cartoon of the same name by Filmation, stars Dolph Lundgren as He-Man (for some reason) and Frank Langella, on absolutely blistering form as the Lord of Snake Mountain, Skeletor!
The synopsis is as follows:
When the evil Skeletor finds a mysterious power called the Cosmic Key, he becomes nearly invincible. However, courageous warrior He-Man locates inventor Gwildor, who created the Key and has another version of it. During a battle, one of the Keys is transported to Earth, where it is found by teenagers Julie and Kevin. Now both He-Man and Skeletor's forces arrive on Earth searching for the potent weapon.

Friday Nov 30, 2018
Friday Nov 30, 2018
WARNING: THIS EPISODE CONTAINS DIRTY CHAT!
Episode 31 sees the boys confronted by an ever-growing pile of severed penises as they are joined by writer/podcaster and all-round extreme film fan, Zöe Rose Smith!
Her chosen film? Teeth!
Harking back to the hazy days of 2007, Mitchell Lichtenstein's rape-revenge/cautionary tale is possibly now more important than it ever has been. Featuring some great performances and some truly wince inducing moments, the time is now to revisit Teeth.
The synopsis is as follows:
Dawn is an active member of her high-school chastity club but, when she meets Tobey, nature takes its course, and the pair answer the call. They suddenly learn she is a living example of the vagina dentata myth, when the encounter takes a grisly turn.
