109 - Rubber (with Galen Howard)
Friday Jul 10, 2020
Friday Jul 10, 2020
Hello friends and welcome to EPISODE 109! We had some sound issues so please forgive any weirdness.
This week we are delighted to be joined by a guest. A guest of the male persuasion. A man of extremes. He is best known for his appearances in DEATHCEMBER, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE and AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D...
It's Galen Howard!
His chosen film? RUBBER!
Hailing from the halcyon days of 2010, Rubber is the brainchild of Quentin Dupieux, better known as musician Mr Oizo. To say this one is divisive is an understatement. It IS about a killer tyre but it's also NOT!
Let us know your thoughts...
The synopsis is as follows:
A car tyre comes to life with the power to make people explode and goes on a murderous rampage through the Californian desert.

108 - Intruder (Andy v Mitch)
Friday Jul 03, 2020
Friday Jul 03, 2020
Hello friends and welcome to EPISODE 108!
Our Patreon is still in full swing with new Patron-exclusive material due to drop in the coming days and we just want to reiterate our thanks to everyone who has subscribed. It's amazing and we love you.
Anyway, our guest this week is another RETURNING guest. He is an occasional filmmaker, musician and one of the hosts of the podcast STRONG LANGUAGE & VIOLENT SCENES...
It's Andy Stewart!
His chosen film? INTRUDER!
A known slasher devotee, Andy decided to educate Mitch by dipping into the vaults and selecting a late-era slasher... Coming as a last gasp in the dying moments of the 80's slasher boom, Scott Spiegel's Intruder is a diamond. A slasher set in a supermarket, featuring appearances by Sam and Ted Raimi, the late Danny Hicks and a cameo by Bruce Campbell.
It also features some truly astonishing gore effects.
Knowing that Mitch isn't a fan of protracted hunt and chase sequences, this could be a tough sell for Andy... How will it go? Find out inside...
The synopsis is as follows:
The overnight stock crew of a local supermarket find themselves being stalked and slashed by a mysterious maniac.

105 - Hellboy (with Joey Keogh)
Friday Jun 12, 2020
Friday Jun 12, 2020
So if you took any notice of our announcement last week, you'll know we took some time off in light of current events. There were and are more important voices than ours demanding to be heard but we can't stay away for long. And what a way to come back!
You may remember this week's guest from our Queen of The Damned episode WAY back in Episode 41. She is a writer for Vague Visages, WickedHorror and The List...
It's Joey Keogh!
Her chosen film? HELLBOY!
No. Not the Guillermo Del Toro one. This is the 2019 reboot from Neil Marshall, the director of The Descent and Dog Soldiers. Gone is Ron Perlman and John Hurt, in their place Stranger Things' David Harbour and Iain McShane! They are joined by a Motley Crew of monsters and weirdos as they battle Milla Jovovich's Nimue, the Queen of Blood!
The synopsis is as follows:
While battling a trio of rampaging giants, the legendary half-demon Hellboy encounters Nimue the Blood Queen, an ancient resurrected sorceress who's out to avenge a past betrayal.
Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy soon becomes hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world.
