As the anticipation ramps up for the live show at Celluloid Screams, let us not forget that there is still business to attend to. Namely, Minisode 24 and this week's main episode!
Topics include The Raid director Gareth Evans' latest, Netflix Original Apostle, Argentinian Frightfest sensation, now Shudder Exclusive, Terrified, Paul Urkijo Alijo's superb fantasy Errementari: The Blacksmith & The Devil, Jeremy Saulnier's new mystery thriller, Hold The Dark, starring Jeffrey Wright and Alexander Skarsgard and LASTLY we look at the first couple of episodes of Mike Flanagan's new ten-part Netflix series, The Haunting of Hill House!
In addtition to all that, we check in on Mitch's progress through the ShockWaves 100 and we have yet another instalment of MITCH'S PITCHES!
Due to his well documented ignorance towards films, Mitch is shown a film poster with all titles, taglines etc removed and tasked with attempting to decipher the plot. Will it go well? The poster image can be seen below with the image that Mitch was working from on the left...
In addition to all this, we dig into your posts and messages in the Feedback section and also, as always, we announce the film for this week and EPISODE 25!
Mitch's Podcast recommendation this week is DARKEST NIGHT! Check it out.
Also, if you are attending this year's Celluloid Screams in Sheffield, remember that we will be doing our first LIVE recording (going out as Episode 26) at 3pm on Friday, 19th October! With free entry, free booze and swag, courtesy of our pals at Arrow Video and, of course, A GUEST! It's sure to be great fun! Hope to see you there!
OH! And the film is Paul Verhoeven's STARSHIP TROOPERS!
